President Donald J. Trump just went off on CNN for sharing what he perceives to be “Fake News.” Their reporting indicated that the president’s party was set for a colossal defeat in the coming Midterm elections.
But President Trump wants the world to know he’s winning (even though he’s not on the ballot).

In fact, multiple polls indicate that the Republican Party is slated for one of the biggest electoral defeats in recent history.
A Most Horrific Election
The president’s approval rating is currently below where George W. Bush’s was at this point in his presidency.
What’s more, the GOP is being widely blamed for the economic disaster that has been unfolding since the president initiated the Iran War on February 28.
Oh, and let us not forget that the president’s war against the Islamic Republic of Iran is overwhelmingly unpopular.
Especially as no victory—let alone an end—to the hostilities appears in sight.
An unpopular war.
A flagging economy.
Major divisions even within the president’s once-erstwhile “MAGA” base.
The most unpopular president since George W. Bush. None of these factors support President Trump and his top advisers’ claims that Republicans are set to dominate the Midterm elections this November.
Per USA Today, “A string of surveys released over the past week has found his approval rating stuck in the upper 30s, while major polling averages show more Americans disapprove of his job performance than approve it.”
Inside sources confirm that GOP internal polling has consistently shown Republican pollsters the sad, painful reality their party faces in the next few weeks: total electoral defeat in the House of Representatives and a growing likelihood that the GOP loses the Senate majority (however slim).
In fact, MAGA-friendly pollsters, like Rich Baris and Mark Mitchell, have both spoken ad nauseam with the Trump administration and the GOP for the last year about their declining poll numbers.
Zachary Domini, head of data science at VoteHub, told USA Today, “There’s no floor for Republicans right now.” He explained that “There’s a 20% or 25% chance the midterm outcome is devastating for Republicans because Trump is super unpopular and Republican voters seem to be not super enthused to come out.” Domini is undoubtedly sugarcoating the situation.
Indeed, Republicans don’t seem to have a floor right now.
But that floor is greater than 20 percent or 25 percent.
Trump’s Rising Unpopularity
All these negative factors are combining into something the GOP isn’t prepared for.
The economy and conflict are combining into a broader antipathy toward the president.
Seeing as Trump is the most visible Republican right now — the titular head of the GOP — if he’s so universally abhorred as he appears to be in the polls, with no alternative message to rival the Democrats just four weeks away from the Midterms, the chances that the GOP can cling to power are extremely low.
Democrats Have No Real Plan
And that’s even if Democrats offer no real alternative to the Republican Party’s platform.
The Democratic platform is basically to do the opposite of whatever Trump did and to fixate on political vengeance against Trump and his top team.
But these aren’t viable policies for moving the United States toward better governance.
It’s just about fulfilling some dark need by the Democrats to put the “MAGA” monster to bed once-and-for-all (without ever addressing the real reasons behind why that “monster” arose in the first place).
None of that matters much, however, since the president is so deeply unpopular and his party is now being inextricably linked to his unpopularity.
The Republicans are heading for a Midterm disaster, the likes of which the world hasn’t seen since at least 2006.
