Andrew Harding is a Policy Analyst for National Security and Indo-Pacific Affairs at The Heritage Foundation, where he produces policy analysis and commentary on U.S. national security strategy, U.S.-China strategic competition, and geopolitical trends. He specializes in U.S. security policy in East Asia and Oceania, including Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands, and North Korea.
In 2025, Harding served as Special Assistant for Asia on the National Security Council, where he supported the Asia directorate’s policy priorities and Indo-Pacific engagements. He has also served as Heritage’s Senior Associate for National Security Coalitions, where he developed partnerships and advanced Heritage’s national security policy priorities at the national and state levels.
