The Left Looks Desperate: New Trump Impeachment Push Has Begun

Could Trump Be Impeached Again?: The Left always thinks it has the goods on U.S. President Donald Trump. They have tried everything under the sun to thwart him, frustrate him, tie him to the Russians, jail him, sue him, and nothing seems to work.

He is intelligent, crafty, unflappable, and even better during a crisis. The Democrats have impeached him twice to no avail, and he has been convicted of dubious crimes and had his house ignominiously searched in an overstretch of government power.

And now we are starting to hear talk again about another impeachment push.

Impeachment 3.0 Might Be Coming?

Now the “resistance” is at it once more. There is talk of impeaching him again.

The ever-strange and eccentric Congressman from Texas, Al Green, is sure to file impeachment articles soon.

For what specific transgression, no one knows. It’s just another example of the Left harassing Trump for no reason.

Where’s the High Crime and Misdemeanors?

Oh sure, Trump is supposed to be a fascist, or Nazi, or whatever the Left can drum up to make headlines. He is accused of being against democracy and has always tried to subvert checks and balances and the separation of powers, the progressives believe.

However, these alleged transgressions are often made up of simple policy differences, not high crimes and misdemeanors.

The Deportee Who Is the Democrat Cause Célèbres

There is a brouhaha going on now with a Maryland man who was deported to El Salvador, where he is from originally. Democrats consider this action an egregious mistake. Kilmar Abrego Garcia has been in the country illegally. The left thinks this is Exhibit Number One evidence that Trump has overstepped his bounds.

A federal district court judge is mad that Trump and his Department of Homeland Security will not facilitate Abrego Garcia’s removal from El Salvador. But the president of El Salvador says he won’t return his countryman. It’s a mess, and Trump should probably step in and just have President Nayib Bukele return him. Still, the Department of Homeland Security does not want to interfere in a sovereign country. Secretary of State Marco Rubio believes foreign policy-making should only be led by the president, not the courts.

Maryland Democrat Senator Chris Van Hollen is venturing to El Salvador to get Garcia’s release. The judge hearing the case is threatening contempt of court and sanctions against the government.

We’re supposed to believe this is some kind of Constitutional crisis, even though many Americans think that illegal immigrants, especially those connected to transnational criminal gangs, should be deported. Abrego Garcia is allegedly an MS-13 member, the administration believes. His lawyers deny this.

Court Disagreements and Interpretations Are Not Impeachable

This is not an impeachable offense for Trump. It is simply a court disagreement about whether the executive branch has primacy over the judicial branch in some instances. There is a question over whether the conduct of deporting people who are illegally in the country is subject to judicial review. Conservatives believe it is not. The whole thing may go to the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, Abrego Garcia has languished in a supermax prison custom-made for gang members and terrorists.

Greenland Annexation Will “Get” Trump Impeached

Then the Democrats think that Trump is going to take Greenland by military force. He has no such inclinations. In fact, the White House has floated the idea of paying each citizen of Greenland $10,000 to get them to agree to become part of the United States. Sounds like a good deal to me.

More Impeachment Ideas Coming

An obscure leftwing group called “Free Speech for People” has numerous policy disagreements with Trump that they think are impeachable.

Get ready for this list because it’s a doozy.

“Refusing to release $2 billion in foreign aid in defiance of multiple court orders; refusing to adhere to court orders that prohibit the Office of Management and Budget from implementing a freeze on all federal assistance; and refusing to adhere to a court order requiring U.S. Office of Personnel Management [acting Director] Charles Ezell to testify in person on March 13, 2025, in a lawsuit challenging Ezell and OPM’s termination of thousands of employees,” according to CommonDreams.org.

Trump and Impeachment Talk Is Getting Out of Hand Now

Give me a break. This laundry list is fine to pursue in the judicial system if Trump’s opponents choose to do so. Trump is no King, and he is subject to court orders, but the president’s lawyers can fight back and appeal, and these so-called refusals are merely attempts by Trump to play out his rights of due process.

No politician is above the courts, but just because you don’t agree with a policy-maker, there is no grounds to impeach him or her. Show me Trump’s high crimes and misdemeanors, not petty court battles over executive branch power over the courts. Trump will continue to make policy choices that inflame the left. That’s what he loves to do, and many of his actions are within the president’s rights as set forth by the Constitution. The left will keep on looking for a way to end Trump’s presidency, and this will be as elusive as finding the Holy Grail. Good luck on those impeachment attempts.
