President Trump’s Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters, or PURSUE, is forcing the U.S. government to publish its files on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena. On May 8, the Department of Defense released 17 pages of new UAP files, and the Pentagon now hosts a public clearing-house website with videos, images, and reports drawn from NASA, the FBI, and the intelligence community. NASA maintains there is no credible evidence of extraterrestrial life. Former Air Force intelligence officer Major David Grusch told Congress in 2023 the government has recovered alien bodies. A 2018 jellyfish-shaped object filmed over an Iraqi base remains unexplained.
“Do You Believe?” – The Quest to Find More Research on UAPs Is Easier
It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a hypersonic weapon. No, it looks like a flying jellyfish. More and more people are wondering if UAP/UFOs are real. Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena are coming front and center into the nation’s consciousness. You can visit a government website and do your own research now by reviewing documents related to UAPs. This is an effort by President Donald Trump to allow more transparency relating to what the federal government knows about UAPs and whether they are real.
President Trump Is Serious About UAP Transparency
This government effort is called the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE). On May 8, the Department of Defense made public 17 pages of new UAP files that have never been examined by the public.

NASA, the FBI, and the intelligence community have been ordered to make many of their UAP reports part of PURSUE and allow the public to see them on the Department of Defense “clearing house” website. You can become an expert on UAPs with this type of transparency. There are also videos and images available.
More UAP Files Are Coming to the Public
The federal government plans to periodically release more classified files to the public. Government workers are still trying to make sense of and analyze the records they have before allowing the public to see them. But this is a huge job, and it makes one wonder just how many government employees are working on the project.
NASA Has the Best Discussion About UAPs
NASA did a smart thing by creating a website that has frequently asked questions about UAPs.
The number one question concerns alien life. “Is there a possibility of life beyond Earth? Is NASA involved in the search for extraterrestrial life?”
“One of NASA’s key priorities is the search for life elsewhere in the universe: NASA has not found any credible evidence of extraterrestrial life, and there is no evidence that UAPs are extraterrestrial. However, NASA is exploring the solar system and beyond to help us answer fundamental questions, including whether we are alone in the universe,” NASA replied.

Let’s unpack this statement further, as it is a major description of what the government has found regarding UAPs. NASA has found no “credible evidence” that these sightings and reports are evidence of flying craft from outer space. But the space agency said it is looking for ways to answer whether “we are alone.”
What Is NASA Studying?
This leads me to believe that NASA is skeptical about the whole controversy. Another interesting question cropped up. “Is NASA involved with studying UAP?”
“Exploring the unknown in space and the atmosphere is at the heart of who we are. The nature of science is to better understand the unknown – but the language of scientists is data. The limited number of high-quality observations of unidentified anomalous phenomena, or UAP, currently makes it impossible to draw scientific conclusions about the nature of such events,” NASA answered.
The Air Force’s X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle Mission 5 successfully landed at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center Shuttle Landing Facility Oct. 27, 2019. The X-37B OTV is an experimental test program to demonstrate technologies for a reliable, reusable, unmanned space test platform for the U.S. Air Force.
Notice the space agency said there is a “limited number of high-quality observations.” That may have UAP researchers disagreeing with NASA on this point.
Still, some whistleblowers in the past have testified to Congress that the federal government is running an “alien crash-retrieval program.”
Former Air Force intelligence officer Major David Grusch, who worked for the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, told lawmakers in 2023 that the government has found “alien bodies” and some that may still be alive.
My Take on the Issue
I have conducted my own research into UAPs by reading numerous books and using several documentaries to inform my analysis of which media outlets to examine. I have even attended the UFO and alien festival in Roswell, New Mexico. The best evidence I have seen is the so-called “jellyfish” UFO video released in 2024. At the time, the Department of Defense said “no comment” when asked about the jellyfish video.
What Is This Flying Jellyfish?
A researcher named Jeremy Corbell released the clip. Corbell believes that “military pilots” took the footage with “thermographic/forward-looking infrared radar.” It allegedly happened in Iraq over a U.S. military base in 2018.
This jellyfish sighting is unexplained in my eyes. There is no aircraft that looks like this UAP. It is a shocking clip, and to me, it is the only sighting that looks like something from another world.
Trump’s transparency effort is a good thing, as it allows citizens to conduct their own research into the UAP controversy. I would recommend focusing on the jellyfish video, as this is the most unexplained phenomenon that deserves further examination by Congress and internet sleuths.
Call me a skeptical analyst, except for my view on the jellyfish craft. However, I also take NASA’s word at face value that there is no “credible evidence” of UAPs from other worlds.

You can say that, over the years, I have surmised there is no good explanation for the flying jellyfish. You could start there and see what you think.
